Today, we will explore the pinnacle of Inca engineering-Machupicchu.

We transfer by car for 20min by a zig zag road towards Machupicchu (Inca site), is a place that really lives up to all expectations, the setting is breathtaking and the site itself is sensational, perched high on an inaccessible hilltop it is protected by huge cliffs and the raging Urubamba river.

On arrival we will be taken on a private walking tour for a couple of hours visiting this magnificent site, our Guide will recount the story of the rise and fall of the ancient civilizations of the Andes, the tragic end of the Incas and the unresolved mystery that the lost city remains.

When we have had our fill of the site, head back to the town for lunch and later take the train and bus back to Ollantaytambo and Cusco.
