Technical trails for experienced riders. You may not have heard much about Mountain Biking in Peru, but you are sure to go home and tell everyone you know about it. More than seven hundred years ago the Incas built a network of paths which today provided some of the most extensive mountain bike trails in the world. From technical single track to gentler fire roads, huge descent to big air, mountain biking in Cusco has all it. The paths you will bike are still used by local villagers giving you unmatched opportunities to scape from the tourist and see the real Perú.
We PERÚ QUEST will take you to know some routes and we are sure that they will fascinate you from start to finish, enjoying majestic landscapes and obviously experiencing pure adrenaline that you are looking for so much and you love to feel it in each challenge.
<< CYCLING IN PATACANCHA
Now well acclimatized, we drive high into the Andes to just 4450m/14600ft. For one fantastic biking trail and one of our long time favorites and a true wilderness biking adventure high in the Andes. Rough but soon turns into one of the most beautiful 35km trails ever. It’s as of someone has come along and sweep away the rocks leaving super smooth path, allowing you to whoop and swoop past locals villagers, alpacas and llamas to the small village of Patacancha in time for lunch. Then some excellent short cuts take us all the way down to the village of Pallata, afterwards we drive up to 3300m/10830ft. For another truly amazing single track through an ancient Inca trail complete with original Inca terraces. This section which is mostly downhill through impressive geography and obviously the greatest adrenaline experience will take us to the town of Ollantaytambo located at the base of the Sacred valley of the Incas. After this magnificent bike adventure, we take you to your hotel in the valley or Cusco.
